Senior A & B Squads – Dry Land Training – Mon & Tue Afternoons

Dear Swimmers and Parents
For the information on Senior A & B Squads Only
Confirming dry land training will be conducted at the Queanbeyan Aquatic Centre as follows every Monday & Tuesday afternoon until last sessions Monday 21 December 2015 & Tuesday 22 December 2015.
Monday Session –   5.00pm – 5.30pm Senior A & B Squads
All squad members are asked to bring
    .    Skipping Rope
    .    Roller – if you have one
   .    Appropriate footwear
Tuesday Session –      4.30pm – 5.15pm     Senior A & B Squads
Ms Peta Virgo who is a qualified gym coach and holds a senior first aid certificate will be taking the dry land session for  Senior A & B Squads only
All squad members are asked to
    .    Arrive at QAC by 4.20pm for a 4.30pm start
    .    Wear appropriate footwear – example joggers/sneakers
    .    Skipping Rope
    .    Towel or yoga mat
    .    Drink bottle
There is no cost for these activities and all members of Senior A & B will be encouraged to participate.
Equipment can be purchased at a reasonable cost from either K-Mart, Aldi or Sportsmans Warehouse.  For Example skipping ropes are approximately $2.00 from K-Mart or approximately $10.00 from Sportsmans Warehouse.

REMINDER – Club Night Wednesday 11 November 2015

Dear swimmers and parents
Just a reminder that QLSC will be hosting their first of five club night fundraising activities this coming Wednesday 11 November 2015.
A gold coin donation, wear anything pink, and help support a worthwhile cause.  There will be special pink cupcakes for sale at $1.00 each along with jelly cups and the usual yummy bbq fair.
There will be a register for any families that require a receipt for donations over $2.00.
Sharon Siciliano and Nicole Rushton will be donating a dozen cupcakes each for the first night with Peta Virgo and Fiona McNaught vounteering for Wednesday 25 November.  Any parent that would like to offer assistance, please respond to this email.

As part of QLSC’s commitment to the local community, the Club Captains would like to invite all swimmers and parents to participate in a fundraising activity for The Cancer Support Group which is located in Queanbeyan.
The Cancer Support Group – Flyer outlines what you can do to support this activity, wear something pink to every club night and make a gold coin donation, remember

To help this along special cupcakes will also be for sale as well as the usual yummy BBQ fair.  A receipt for your donation can be issued upon request.
